Windows are an extremely important part of sealing your home from the elements, yet most homeowners wildly undervalue them & end up making costly mistakes when replacing them for the first time. They get convinced that vinyl or fiberglass will “last forever”, then they slowly realize what they initially thought was a smart investment turned out to be a huge expense after 5-10 years when they have seal failure (loss of energy efficiency), they become hard to operate due to expansion & contraction of the framing material, and/or the exterior color oxidizes & fades in direct sunlight.

Fence Installation / Replacement
Privacy Fences are always tough for homeowners to come to terms with. They require a lot of material with no open spaces. For wood, measure the perimeter of your yard in feet & multiply that by 6ft. (typical height of proposed new fence). That square footage number for material may surprise you. For vinyl fences, double the square footage number you came up with for wood because vinyl fences are hollow with two “walls” roughly 4in. apart that you see on each side of the fence. So while vinyl is slightly cheaper than wood, it takes twice the amount of material to make a fence out of it because it’s not a structural material. Then composite fences are stronger than vinyl but more expensive still. We will install any of these types of materials for you, but keep in mind that all of the above materials will deteriorate over time for different reasons.
Stone fences (or stone/wood or stone/metal combinations) are absolutely beautiful & they are the only fence built to last a lifetime, but with that usually comes the highest price tag. However, a stone fence is an investment that will always hold it’s value and make your home stand out in the best way possible.
If the fence is more important than the privacy (want to see through but still keep pets in or other animals out) & you want the most cost effective designs, we do offer a few different solutions using aluminum, as well as a few custom solutions using combinations of wood & metal that we’ve found to be the sweet spot between value & aesthetic for our customers in today’s market!
